Kristy Gordon’s paintings are a frank and intimate reflection of her curiosity about other people, transformations and self-discovery. She has exhibited her work internationally with solo and group exhibitions in Canada, the United States, Europe and China. Her awards include Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grants (2010, 2013 and 2015), finalist placement in the 2013 Kingston Prize, and an Exceptional Merit Award from the Portrait Society of America (2014). Kristy has been widely featured in magazines, art publications, radio and television shows, including International Artist, Fine Art Connoisseur, The Artist’s Magazine, Southwest Art and Bravo!’s Star Portraits. Gordon holds a master of fine arts degree in painting from the New York Academy of Art, a bachelor of fine arts degree in drawing and painting from the Ontario College of Art and Design (Toronto), and a diploma in animation from Algonquin college (Ottawa). Her paintings hang in more than 500 collections worldwide including the Government of Ontario Art Collection.

Gordon has nine years of experience teaching and conducting painting workshops, lectures and classes throughout North America. She has taught at numerous institutions and academies including the New York Academy of Art, The National Academy (New York), and The Academy of Realist Art (Ottawa). She has lectured at China Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, New Century Artists in New York City and the Art of the Portrait in Washington, DC.

Gordon is represented by Stricoff Fine Art in New York City, Grenning Gallery in Sag Harbor and Cube Gallery in Ottawa, Canada.
